DonationsDear Friend of Cabrillo, Cabrillo Festival, Inc. plans to continue our 50 year old tradition and make it better than ever. Naval Sub Base Point Loma will once again be open to the public for our Festival on September 29, 2013. It is with great excitement that the Cabrillo Festival, invites you to be part of this San Diego tradition – The Annual Cabillo Festival. As San Diego’s longest-running and most recognized multicultural celebration, the Cabrillo Festival honors our history and diversity by commemorating the life and voyage of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the first European to set foot on what is now the West Coast of the United States. Our non profit organization re-enacts Cabrillo’s landing on the shores of San Diego Bay, educates the community about our heritage, brings together representatives of Native America, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain and honors the rich cultural traditions we all enjoy. The greatest challenge and opportunity is to ensure sufficient funding to continue the Cabrillo Festival. We greatly need your help! As annual expenses increase and funding decreases, our efforts turn to you to help us continue to bring cultures together and make history come alive. Please take a moment and consider making a contribution to this worthy cause. Now, more than ever, Cabrillo Festival must rely on donations from the community and businesses to continue our commemoration. If you have questions, please contact me at (619) 221-5961. Your donation is very much needed and appreciated. Please send donations to:
Sincerely, Idalmiro da Rosa |
